Young informal family with 3 children ( 6, 4 and 2yrs) and a small dog, are loosing their current housekeeper to retirement after 5 very happy years.
Primarily a housekeeping role where the couple will work closely together. Mum is very hands on with the children, this is not a nanny role but a natural love of children is essential. A willingness to keep an eye on the youngest when Mum does school runs and activities and one night babysitting per week is required. You may be asked to prepare children’s breakfast and tea but no cooking for the adults is required.
Other duties will include assisting with general garden duties ( gardener is also employed) washing and cleaning of the cars and general household repairs, organising contractors, taking deliveries and possibly running errands and shopping occasionally.
This is an informal, happy family who appreciate hard work and flexibility, a lovely position for a hands on couple looking to be part of the family.
Ideally the daily working hours will be 7am to 11am and then 2-6pm but flexible- Monday to Friday. Occasionally you may be asked to work a Saturday if the family have guests and take time off in lieu during the week.

EXPERIENCED DOMESTIC COUPLE
Cook-Housekeeper & Gardener- Handyperson-Driver
High profile but relaxed family of 4 ( 2 school age children ) require an experienced, cheerful, proactive domestic couple to manage their weekend and holiday 7 bedroom property to a very high standard.
The housekeeper’s duties will involve cooking for the family and also for their guests (informal), cooking using fresh ingredients from the vegetables gardens. A keen and confident cook able to prepare and cook from scratch using fresh ingredients as well as bake bread and biscuits.
A cleaner comes once a week and cleans the whole house to lighten the load. Housekeeping duties will include daily maintenance of the house, all laundry and ironing, changing beds, polishing furniture and silverware, flowers arrangements, general tidying and organisation.
Ideally you will also enjoy gardening, especially growing vegetables and assisting with development of the kitchen gardens including soft fruits.
Partner will be responsible for the grounds and gardens, which include approx. 3 acres of formal gardens and 4 acres of fields. The garden includes herbaceous borders, hedging, a pond, fruit trees, large lawn area, small wooded area and a cut flower garden. Fruit and vegetable growing to supply the household all year round is a part of the gardening calendar. The gardener will need to have knowledge and experience of working with all these elements as well as use and maintenance of garden machinery and the knowledge necessary to make the most of the seasonal calendar.
Occasionally the role will also include dealing with internal and external household maintenance and driving the principals between train stations.
The family use the house at weekends and school holidays, weekends usually arriving Friday afternoon and leave on Sunday late afternoon. You will both need to be a confident driver as you will need to shop some groceries, or drive some of the family member.
When not in residence you can work from 9am to 4-5pm, but when they are in you will need to start 8am and finish just after their dinner (8/9pm) with 2 hours lunch break.
Days and hours: Thursday to Monday (flexible hours) Days off are Tuesday and Wednesday.

An energetic, friendly and experienced part-time gardener and housekeeper required for a country house with extensive outbuildings and two acres of landscaped gardens in rural Shropshire. This job opportunity would suit a couple with no dependent children who would like to live and work in a delightful part of the Shropshire countryside. The principals are a mature retired couple who travel at times during the year during which house sitting and security will be required. Dog walking is also part of the role. The current couple of 4 years will retire.
Experience of housekeeping, cleaning, ironing and polishing. Occasionally, assisting with informal table service and helping with functions at the house and babysitting grandchildren.
Garden maintenance, knowledge of flowers and borders, planting, weeding, pruning, mowing large area of lawn, treating and feeding flowerbeds. Some tractor driving for paddock maintenance and chain saw work will be required.

A private estate situated in West Berkshire requires an honest, enthusiastic, and experienced couple to work alongside the Estate Manager and the House Manager.
One of the couple should be a confident all-rounder, with a hands-on approach. Some previous experience looking after buildings would be desirable, as would the ability to recognize faults and put into action any necessary repairs. Swimming pool and spa maintenance would be a bonus. Candidates should be willing and able to undertake the general garden/ handyperson duties as required, working alongside the existing gardening team. You should also be prepared to assist the Estate Manager with other estate tasks as and when required, e.g. airport runs, care of machinery etc. This role will develop and expand, so ideally some previous leadership /managerial and IT skills will be required.
Partner will be working as a housekeeper and should have high standards of cleaning and presentation with a keen eye for detail. The role will include day to day housekeeping, laundry, including the care of fine fabrics, silver and fine furniture, flower arranging, and general household duties, including serving at table, and the ability to cook light healthy meals when the chef is unavailable.
There is a well-established team of part time household staff to assist as required, in time the housekeeper will take on additional tasks and eventually lead the interior team as the house manager.
The estate has a welcoming environment therefore applicants must have a friendly and flexible approach to work, with a willingness to work hard, and be an integral part of a small team. The residence is a second home and can be very busy during the summer months, therefore you will be expected to work longer hours with time off in lieu during the quieter periods. Flexibility to work weekends (with time off in lieu) when needed, mainly during the summer months.

Newly created position for a new build, modern residence of a young family close to Windlesham.
The property is large, immaculately presented- 22,000sq ft, which includes a gym, swimming pool and cinema complex. The grounds extend to 4 acres.
There is currently a large outdoor project in progress which includes landscaping of the gardens, planting, building of tennis court and hence numerous contractors to supervise and monitor.
The housekeeper will be responsible for the day to day cleaning of the rooms in use, laundry, ironing and occasional food preparation and cooking. If cooking, then it will be purely for the owners and not every day. Family and friends visit at weekends and eventually events and parties will be held, so any service skills will be beneficial.
The owners have a new baby, so a child friendly person is required as eventually there may be occasional babysitting. Mum is very hands on with the care of the child. There are no pets.
Partner will maintain the grounds and gardens, ideally you will have some knowledge of gardening, but you do not need to be a qualified horticulturist. You will need to have good maintenance skills, be IT literate and be able to learn the mechanisms for maintaining the pool area and plant room.
You will take care of the family cars and be open to driving the principal into his London office when required. You will need a good level of English as you will manage and liaise with external suppliers and contractors.
As this is a new and developing position, additional duties may become part of the role, as the house is used to its full potential eventually there may be some informal entertaining and a degree of flexibility will be required.

Hands on Estate Management couple – chef – housekeeper
To include cooking, housekeeping, general and grounds maintenance, driving and security.
A professional and experienced couple are required for a large residence in Surrey. The couple will be proactive, self sufficient and be capable of running this 8 bedroom property, in four acres of grounds. The residence is the home of a couple who also have multiple homes both in the Uk and Internationally. You will be required to travel with the owners from time to time both in Uk and Overseas.
The residence is run to exacting standards and the position is suitable for a couple with previous high end domestic experience, a minimum of five years’ experience and with proven longevity in previous positions. This vacancy is a long term position with owners who appreciate and respect their staff.
One member of the couple will be responsible for the day to day house management and housekeeping, the other will act as chef. Roles are however interchangeable.
Between them the couple will be managing the day to day running of this beautiful property, acting as estate and household manager, serving at table and dealing with front of house duties, overseeing contractors and security, cooking and serving and undertaking general maintenance around the house and grounds.
Chef will need to have an international repertoire and be happy to cook for a minimum of 2 adults on a daily basis with regular entertaining both formal and informal lunches / dinners and have an innovative palate. Sourcing and planning seasonal menu’s and using fresh local produce. You must be happy around pets as the family have 3 dogs.
Both must drive and be willing to undertake some driving duties when required, there are numerous cars on the property and you will on occasion be asked to do an airport run, shopping, errands and evening driving now and again.
