Non smokers essential. Lovely position for a serious hunting yard 8 miles from Shrewsbury. Previous employees recommend and have been employed for past 8 years. 8 hunters, 2 ponies who will need plaiting, clipping and first class care including one of the couple to be a decent rider. Ability to turn out to the highest standards essential and also to drive the non HGV lorry. The workload is heavier during the hunting season, but during summer, the horses are turned out. During the season you will be expected between you to run the yard, deal with feed orders, farriers, contractors, muck out, feed, deal with grooming, clipping, tack etc and assist in exercising the horses. (The employers both ride). In summer general maintenance duties will be required from both parties and the ability to be involved with the employers children who are aged 5 and 3 years, occasional baby sitting and school runs. Very nice barn conversion available on site with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms very nicely furnished and fully equipped – pet and horse welcome as is a child. A Freelander is provided for your private use, together with all bills and up to £600 per week after tax. 6 day working week during season but much shorter hours and fewer days during summer months. Large Victorian Country House in rural Berkshire.
The property is the main home of a mature couple with adult children, but they do have other residences and travel frequently. The house is seven bedrooms, with indoor swimming pool complex, gym and games room.
The house managers must be very hands on, and are required to run and manage the household on a day-to-day basis, liaise with the personal assistant and work along side the 2 full time gardening staff.
The house is beautifully kept and although large is easy to care for between them the couple should be able to undertake general housekeeping, including laundry, cooking for daily family meals and a very occasional lunch or dinner party. The housekeeper will be responsible for household provisioning and shopping.
The gentleman will be required to drive the employers on occasion to functions and airports, care for the cars and fleet management. Ideally he should also have good handyman / DIY skills.
There are two dogs, which the couple will care for when the owners are absent.
Package to include-Two bedroom cottage in the grounds and salary circa £700 - £750 per week net (couple), 2 days off per week which will include some weekends. Experienced country house couple, required for a large rural farming and shooting estate in North East Scotland. Half way between Aberdeen and Inverness
Family of four including 2 children, one a weekly boarder and the other a full time boarder. There are older children who visit occasionally.
This is a new couple’s position as the current housekeeper will be retiring.
The housekeeper will run and manage the house on a daily basis, which will include assisting and supervising the cleaning staff, handle family laundry and generally ensure that the house runs smoothly. This is large and busy family home which does host private shoots during the season. The housekeeper will be required to meet and greet guests and help with table serve. A cook is available for special occasions, but occasionally preparation of simple family food to help the lady of the house who usually cooks for the family.
The Gentleman will be required to oversee the general maintenance programme for the property both inside and out. You should be pro active, have good all round handyman skills and maintain the property to a high standard. There are numerous cars on the estate and you will be expected to manage the fleet and undertake some driving duties.
Gardening staff are employed; you will need to liaise with the gardener in regards outdoor repairs etc.
The family have a holiday home in France and are away for an average of four months per year, during this time the couple will oversee security of the residence.
There are 2 working dogs that are also family pets.

A top class housekeeper is required for this family of 7 in their large country residence.
Duties will include meticulous cleaning of the house and laundry so it is essential you have experience in the care of fine fabrics, antiques and beautiful china and be able to look after and launder beautiful and expensive clothing. You must be a children lover as there are 5 children between the ages of 4 and 9 years old and you will be required to help put them to bed.
The male of the couple duties will be to drive the principle to London for work and to help the mother with the collecting and dropping off of children at activities. You will also be required to do food shopping and act as a handyman, changing light bulbs, hanging up pictures etc. There will also be light gardening duties i.e. mowing etc.
It is a 5 day working week with Sunday and Monday’s off. Salary for the housekeeper is £350nett per week and for the couple £750nett per week. A furnished staff wing is provided as accommodation. (REF HU1339)

The house has undergone major refurbishments which are ongoing and the clients moved in on the first week of July 2008. Couple required for this home, which will be used every weekend from Friday evening until Sunday evening and during holidays and half term breaks. The family are a couple in their 30’s with 2 children aged 6 ½ years and 2 years. Experienced, professional couple to act in the following duties, which include dinner party cooking for occasional formal gatherings for up to 14 people, but more regularly weekend Sunday Luncheon get together and informal kitchen suppers and lunches. The clients like to entertain most weekends and as such the cook should be enthusiastic and able and can be either part of the couple. Other duties will include hands on housekeeping and laundry. Front of house skills to include laying up and serving at table, mixing drinks, greeting guests and suchlike required, together with the ability to assist with heavier household tasks, such as caring for pool, patios, pool furniture, laying fires etc. Driver required to act as occasional chauffeur and to look after the vehicles. 2 free days midweek and use initially of an “incredibly nice 2 bedroom cottage.” Eventually this cottage will be utilised as guest accommodation and the couple will be moved to a newly converted barn accommodation. No children can be accommodated though dog(s) welcome provided it/they does not wander into the employers’ home (gentleman asthmatic). An excellent salary will be offered. Partner will act as housekeeper and should be prepared to undertake general cleaning, laundry and possibly some food preparation for approx 20 hours per week. The family have 2 small children but a full time nanny is employed.

The couple will however only be responsible for the interior of the property, but will liaise with the Estate manager on external matters. There are 2 full time gardeners also employed.
Duties will include the day to day running of the property, the organising and purchasing of supplies, budget control and household accounting. Ideally the couple will be experienced in the running of a country home and have relevant IT and organisational skills.
One of the couple will be required to cook, one be able to offer front of house services during any formal entertaining.
There will be general housekeeping and laundry duties but a part time daily will also be employed.
Salary is negotiable depending upon experience, 3 bedroom cottage (recently refurbished) and 2 days off per week mid week.

An experienced, traditional “in house” couple are required to run and manage this very beautiful home on an estate which is fully staffed with all outdoor personnel.
The owners use the property most weekends, arriving at Lunchtime Friday and departing after lunch on Monday. Also used over main holidays i.e. Easter and Christmas when there are numerous guests and family visiting.
The couple will between them run and totally manage the house to a very high standard. There are 2 part time dailies who cover most of the general cleaning and large items of laundry are serviced off site.
Candidates are required to have previous formal Country House experience – duties will include general housekeeping, cooking for both family, shoots and the more formal dinner party, formal table service, care of the kitchen and pantry, care of the owners personal wardrobes, flower arranging and occasional driving to airports or stations and the day to day running of this very beautiful residence. Clients are looking for an experienced, top end couple or Chef/Household manager to fully manage the property, whilst remaining very hands on. There are currently three in-house staff members and a gardener that will need managing and daily duties will include caring for fine clothes and the gentleman’s shoes, cooking to a high standard, laying up and serving at table, cleaning, caring for three dogs, shopping, undertaking airport runs, liasing with the PA and generally overseeing the overall running of the property. Cooking should be to dinner party standard as guests visit frequently, numbers approximately 6-10. Candidates need to be very flexible and dynamic and have a “can do” attitude as the principals lead rather hectic lifestyles and the hours can be demanding at times. The job is based on a 6 day working week with time off mid-week. TOP negotiable salary on offer depending on age and experience. The accommodation is a self-contained one-bedroom apartment in the basement of the main residence. Unfortunately no pets or dependents welcome. Spanish is obviously an advantage but not a prerequisite. Energy, fitness and charisma are required together with a great track record in private service.
