We will consider candidates where the spouse could be a butler OR work mainly outdoor as part of the gardening and maintenance teams.

A newly created vacancy for an experienced, energetic and flexible couple to join an established team on a large shooting estate in Surrey. This is a 7-bedroom property with an additional 5-bedroom property in extensive grounds and beautiful gardens, woodland, pasture and a wonderful kitchen garden. This is the part residence of the principals and their adult children, used mainly at weekends and during the shoot season. Very busy October to January and again during April to June.

Housekeeping<\/strong> \u2013 An exceptional well organised housekeeper with the highest attention to detail, dynamic and proactive, responsible for the interior of both properties which will include cleaning to very high standards, care of antiques, artwork, fine furniture\/ fabrics. Wardrobe management, packing and unpacking, polishing shoes, ability to lay and serve at table, Care of flowers and plants, other staff management.

Light Cooking<\/strong> \u2013 In the occasional chefs\u2019 absence, preparation and cooking of light fresh, healthy family meals. During the shoot and high season, the Chef and depending on circumstances, additional staff are employed.

Butler<\/strong> \u2013 Laying and serving at Table (formal and informal) care of silver, care of the pantry. Assistance with general housekeeping, cleaning windows, shopping, outdoor furniture cushions etc. some gardening.

Gardening and Property Maintenance<\/strong> \u2013 Assisting with general garden maintenance, working alongside the garden team, in the maintenance of the borders, shrubberies, kitchen garden and greenhouses, woods, arboretum. General property maintenance and organisation.

The principals have 2 dogs, pigs & chickens who need to be fed and walked.

SALARY \u2013 competitive, depending on experience. All found 2-bedroom cottage. 5 day working week with 2 days off usually Weds and Thurs, weekend working will be required. Large part residence, traditional country house and shooting estate in a rural and very beautiful location in Staffordshire, requires an energetic flexible housekeeper to join the small team. Part of the main house is used by family members occasionally, the shoot lodges during the shoot season are occupied by guests, usually Friday to Sunday.<\/p>\r\n

Duties are cleaning to a high standard with great attention to detail, laundry, ironing, making beds and tidying bathrooms with evening turn down service when the guests are in residence.<\/p>\r\n

Local cleaners are employed to service the lodges who you will supervise and work alongside. Chef and Butlers are in attendance during the season and an estate manager and outdoor team are also employed.<\/p>\r\n

During the shoot season you will be required to work longer hours and weekends, but out of season primarily Monday to Friday. You must be flexible and be able to work as part of a team.<\/p>\r\n

Due to the location, you will need to drive and have your own car, although a pool car is available for work related use.<\/p>\r\n

This is a long-term position and is open to local candidates on a live out basis too.<\/p>\r\n

Family of Five which includes 3 school age children and their dog require a flexible, friendly couple who are pro-active and forward-thinking with previous experience of working in a family home. This is a long-term position and involves the overall care and smooth running of the property both inside and out.
The property is in a rural location and is a family home, used mainly at weekends, Friday pm to Sunday pm and during some school holidays. There is an indoor swimming pool.<\/p>\r\n

Duties will be day to day housekeeping, preparation of fresh healthy family meals from breakfast, fruits, eggs etc to small family gatherings with lots of fresh healthy salads, fish, and grilled meat, mainly based on Mediterranean style dishes. A confident cook to follow recipes and the ordering of groceries and household supplies along with fresh provisioning as required.
You will need to have good laundry skills to include handwashing of cashmere, care of the wardrobes, dealing with dry cleaning and running errands.<\/p>\r\n

Partner will be responsible for property and garden maintenance \u2013 pool care and general household maintenance.
The grounds are mainly laid to lawn, with hedges, trees, driveways and terraces that all need to be maintained. There are informal flower beds, so weeding, lawn mowing (ride on mower provided), leaf blowing and strimming are all part of the role.
You may be asked to care for the cars, refuel, and keep them clean and fuelled.
You should be dog friendly too.<\/p>\r\n

The property is often unoccupied, so important that the couple are happy working independently, who work well together, who are organised, communicative and take pride in ensuring the home is always beautifully maintained and ready to welcome the family or guests at any time.<\/p>\r\n
