An experienced, country loving, self-sufficient housekeeper is required for super long term client in a beautiful location in East Sussex. The current housekeeper of 6 yrs returns to her family routes in the North of England. \u00a0You should be self-sufficient, proactive and be able to plan your own day and see when a job needs doing.<\/p>\r\n

A part time cleaner ( 3 days per week) is employed, but you must be totally hands on with day-to-day housekeeping, which will include cleaning daily, washing and ironing of household linens, running errands. Basic cooking skills would be welcomed but not essential.<\/p>\r\n

There are various additional buildings on the estate, one of which is used as a retreat and quiet place for visiting self-sufficient guests. You will be responsible for the organisation and management of the property, ensuring that it is clean, flowers in situ and linens changed prior to the guest arriving, changing linens and cleaning after departure.<\/p>\r\n

You will be required to liaise with external contractors, learn the intricacies of the boilers, re setting of timers etc. generally being aware of how the household systems work.<\/p>\r\n

Essential that you have excellent communication skills and capable to work closely with the owner running the property and assisting her with any entertaining requirements.<\/p>\r\n

There are 2 dogs so a willingness to assist with occasional dog walking will be required. Outdoor team of staff are also employed.<\/p>\r\n

Experienced housekeeper (M\/F) required for privately-owned Palladian Mansion, located just outside Barnet and set in 250 acres of parkland. The house is used both as a private part time residence and let out for both filming and private corporate events.
We are looking for an experienced hands-on housekeeper to join a small and friendly team. Reporting to the House Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day housekeeping duties alongside the hands-on Assistant House Manager.<\/p>\r\n

The successful applicant will come from a housekeeping\/hotel background and will be able to demonstrate a flexible approach and excellent attention to detail. It would be helpful if you were computer literate and can use email and also have some knowledge of alarm and phone systems.<\/p>\r\n

Key responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring that all areas of the house are clean and free of dust on a daily basis.
2. Cleaning\/care of antique furniture and paintings. Advise House Manager of any items requiring specific attention or repair.
3. Making sure all bedrooms are kept clean and tidy and beds are made.
4. Ensuring all private and communal bathrooms\/lavatories are kept clean and that high levels of hygiene are maintained.
5. Ensuring that staff areas and facilities are monitored and cleaned every day.
6. Liaising with the House Manager to ensure all cleaning supplies are kept stocked, maintaining a stock list and advising if anything needs to be purchased.
7. Care and basic maintenance of all cleaning and laundry equipment and areas. Report any issues to the House Manager.
8. Care and cleaning of silverware\/brass using the correct methods as requested.
9. Laundering and ironing of clothes and bed linen.
10. Dealing with any contractors, workmen or visitors as required.
11. Assisting the House Manager or principals with running local errands.
12. Working with other staff members to ensure that security within the house and grounds is maintained.
13. Being competent in using both the security and fire alarm systems.
14. Work weekends and occasional Bank Holidays as required to ensure the house is not left empty.
15. Liaise with the House Manager to ensure that a member of staff is on duty during days off, evenings and holidays.
16. Fresh healthy family style cooking required when the principal is in residence.<\/p>\r\n

Hours of Work:
\u2022 From 9am to approx. 5pm, when the owners are not in residence but flexible for longer hours when they are.
\u2022 Generally, the Housekeeper will be required to work 5 days a week Mon-Fri except when owners in residence when 2 other days will be given off or in lieu.<\/p>\r\n

Accommodation:
\u2022 A private spacious newly refurbished 1-bedroom flat is provided within the Main House.

A newly created vacancy for an experienced, energetic and flexible couple to join an established team on a large shooting estate in Surrey. This is a 7-bedroom property with an additional 5-bedroom property in extensive grounds and beautiful gardens, woodland, pasture and a wonderful kitchen garden. This is the part residence of the principals and their adult children, used mainly at weekends and during the shoot season. Very busy October to January and again during April to June.

Housekeeping<\/strong> \u2013 An exceptional well organised housekeeper with the highest attention to detail, dynamic and proactive, responsible for the interior of both properties which will include cleaning to very high standards, care of antiques, artwork, fine furniture\/ fabrics. Light Cooking<\/strong> \u2013 In the occasional chefs\u2019 absence, preparation and cooking of light fresh, healthy family meals. During the shoot and high season, the Chef and depending on circumstances, additional staff are employed.

Butler<\/strong> \u2013 Laying and serving at Table (formal and informal) care of silver, care of the pantry. Assistance with general housekeeping, cleaning windows, shopping, outdoor furniture cushions etc. some gardening.

Gardening and Property Maintenance<\/strong> \u2013 Assisting with general garden maintenance, working alongside the garden team, in the maintenance of the borders, shrubberies, kitchen garden and greenhouses, woods, arboretum. General property maintenance and organisation.

The principals have 2 dogs, pigs & chickens who need to be fed and walked.

SALARY \u2013 competitive, depending on experience. All found 2-bedroom cottage. 5 day working week with 2 days off usually Weds and Thurs, weekend working will be required.
