Beautiful family estate of approx. 40 acres, in a suburban setting close to the sea and with easy access to Amsterdam. This property is the family estate, of owners, with multiple homes and who currently only visit the property alternate weekends. They are an informal couple and like their privacy when visiting the property. The principal\u2019s adult children and their families occasionally visit using the guest cottage some weekends and holidays. The property is newly refurbished and has full security systems and cameras in place.<\/p>\r\n

The housekeeper will take care of the interior of the main house and a small guest house, cleaning, dealing with laundry and generally overseeing the day-to-day housekeeping duties. You will need to have previous experience of antiques, fine fabrics, and precious items. When the owners are in residence, some light cooking will be required ideally Mediterranean and Asian in style. You will need to be able to run errands, shop for fresh produce and work alongside the lady of the house to ensure that any guests are well catered for.<\/p>\r\n

Partner will spend approx. 70% in the gardens and 30% in the house, assisting with care of the gardens alongside the full-time head gardener and part time assistant. You do-not need to be a qualified gardener, but you must enjoy working outside in all weathers. There are formal and informal areas of woodland and gardens comprising of flower beds, lawns, topiary and rose gardens and vegetables are also grown on the estate.<\/p>\r\n

\u00a0In house you will assist the housekeeper with any high-level cleaning, undertake any basic repairs and monitor the coming and going of any contractors.<\/p>\r\n

There are numerous external contractors who take care of the swimming pool and tennis court, so you will need to have good communication skills and be able to liaise with them.<\/p>\r\n

Security is extremely important, there are full security cameras, and you will need to be very security aware.<\/p>\r\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Large Country House on an estate in glorious Thomas Hardy Country. The house totals 12 bedrooms, 8 of which are en-suite and although most of the time the principals, a mature couple, live alone here, they do have a large and extended family who will be visiting 3-4 times per year including over Christmas and Easter holidays.<\/p>\r\n

This is an informal family home, there will be some entertaining during the year, but mostly all will be on an informal or semi-formal basis and mainly for family and friends.<\/p>\r\n

\u00a0Part time cleaning assistance is available for general duties one day per week, but the couple should ideally be able to cover all indoor tasks between them.<\/p>\r\n

General duties will be running the household, cleaning, laundry, traditional, fresh, healthy cooking to dinner party standard, serving and minor household maintenance.<\/p>\r\n

You will be required to prepare a light lunch when requested and a 2-course dinner ( main course and dessert) each evening.<\/p>\r\n

Gardeners are employed so there is no gardening requirement, but one of the couple should be able to care for and keep the fleet of cars (including a Bentley) clean and well maintained. There will be some driving duties, mostly local but occasionally an airport run. A full-time handyperson is employed but assistance with pressure washing of terraces, paving and patio areas is welcomed.<\/p>\r\n

There is currently one black labrador dog which you will need to walk and care for if the principals are away.<\/p>\r\n

A degree of flexibility is required, as when the extended family visit the days will be longer and weekends will need to be worked, time off can be accumulated and then taken in lieu.\u00a0 However, outside these times the working days will be well structured and most weekends are free.<\/p>\r\n
