BUTLER /STEWARD - live out
NEAR WOODSTOCK, WEST OXFORDSHIRE
Essential requirements: 5* boutique hotel and/or hospitality experience or previous private house Butler experience.
An excellent opportunity for a Butler/ Steward to join a fully staffed property on a prestigious estate in West Oxfordshire. Our client seeks a hands-on, flexible and proactive candidate for this role, a candidate who can anticipate needs and deliver excellent formal food and beverage service to the Principal, family and guests at all times.
Duties will include:
- Formal table service. This to include silver, butler, family and buffet style food services.
- Formal beverage service.
- Care of the wine cellar (Working under experienced Head Butler.)
- Cleaning of all silver items.
- The receiving and making welcome of all guests.
- Retrieving of guest’s luggage from vehicles and delivery to their rooms.
- Unpacking and packing of guest’s luggage as required. (Training can be given).
- Preparing of hot beverages for guests as required.
- Operating dishwashers to clean pantry cutlery, glass and china.
This is a lovely position with long-term staff. It is essential that you maintain a positive relationship with the Principals and their guests. Strong communication skills along with flexibility and being a team player are all essential. Must have the ability to harmoniously integrate with travelling household team. The role is suitable for a junior butler, looking to progress and develop within the private household setting.
