Experienced Farm Maintenance/Grounds worker: to act as maintenance person/gardener on 25-acre property. Duties are varied and you need good basic plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical skills with an ability to drive a tractor, plus use and maintain garden and agricultural machinery and care for the garden, pastures, and general upkeep of the property. Paddock, fencing and building maintenance, rodent control, general repairs and care of owners' property and vehicles.
Part of every working morning you will assist with mucking out the stables and turning horses out in the pastures. The remainder of the day is spent undertaking garden/paddock/building maintenance (mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, spraying etc). There are duties such as painting and decorating, maintaining fencing, caring for pasture, looking after the building maintenance, the horse-box and cleaning cars – checking oil, water, and tyre pressure levels, etc. A person who is very multi skilled and has attention to detail is essential. You must be comfortable around horses, chickens and dogs.
Salary negotiable depending on experience, accommodation available, partner welcome but sorry no dependant children. Well behaved dog may be considered. Flexible 1.5 days off per week. Weekend working will be required. Clean driving licence, own car and Non Smoker essential.(CC3670)
