HEAD GARDENER
DAILY OR RESIDENTIAL
Lovely new vacancy in a rural village South of Stowmarket. The owners are a mature couple – semi retired with no children.
The main house is a Grade 2 listed -8-bedroom former rectory, with 2 guest cottages on site, an outdoor pool and tennis court in approx. 50 acres of paddocks and pasture, approx. 5 acres of beautifully kept lawns, and formal gardens, flower beds, fruit trees and a Greenhouse. There is small lake with water features and all the mechanical equipment required to care for these gardens.
There are 2 additional gardeners, so essential that you are a good team player and capable of managing staff. Cover for the Estate Manager as needed.
Horticulture Qualification and previous staff management experience is essential.
Accommodation can be provided locally as you will be a key holder to the main property.
5 day working week, with flexibility for weekend cover when required.
SALARY IN THE REGION OF £35,000 NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE & IF ACCOMMODATION IS REQUIRED.
2 DAYS OFF PER WEEK WITH PLENTY OF WEEKENDS. STRICTLY NON-SMOKER. DRIVER WITH OWN CAR ESSENTIAL. ( CC3309B)
