8-5pm Monday to Thursday
8-1pm Friday
Chairman of construction company and his retired wife, who own a traditional, 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom Georgian house set in approx 2 acres of formal gardens, laid to shrubberies, woodland and lawns require a new domestic couple. Current couple have been in post for 8 years.
Experienced housekeeper required to maintain the cleanliness of the home, take care of floors and special finishes, dust, polish silver & nice furniture, deal with laundry and ironing to a high standard, you will need to assist with food preparation and simple cooking occasionally.
The housekeeper is welcome to work in the garden part time if desired.
Partner to act as gardener, undertaking general garden, lawn and grounds maintenance, a keen and enthusiastic gardener who will mow lawns, weed borders, beds and trim hedges. There are numerous trees and a lot of leaves to collect in Autumn. Modern equipment is available which includes ride on mower, good range of tools and a chain saw. Other tasks include -General DIY and maintenance duties around the property, occasional driving duties to airport and evening social events approx once per month, cleaning of cars, laying fires, chopping and bringing in logs, cleaning windows etc.
Lovely 3-bedroom semi detached house- (separate to the house and a short drive away, all bills paid) and a salary in the region of £50,000 Gross according to previous experience. Sorry NO PETS will be considered, but an older child welcome. Clients reside overseas for 3 months each year, but no longer than 3 weeks at any time, so security of the estate is a large part of this job. Monday to Friday – weekends free but if the owners are away the couple must remain local for security reasons. Very occasional weekend and evening work may be required.
Candidates must have their own car for personal use and both should drive. (REF CC1407)
