- DOMESTIC COUPLE -COOK/HOUSEKEEPER -GARDENER /MAINTENANCE PERSON
Location – Country House in Surrey
Essential Requirements – Non Smokers, both to drive, previous experience in private service. Very good cooking skills. Must love dogs.
The position is for a full-time, live-in couple consisting of a family cook/housekeeper together with a genuine all-round maintenance/houseman/gardener.
Hours of work are based on a 50-hour working week, Thursday to Monday. Yours days off are Tuesday and Wednesday There will be longer days over the weekend, but you can manage your own time.
The couple’s duties include:
Housekeeping/Family Cook:
Ensure the cleanliness of the main house and associated areas
Cooking
Making of all beds
Laundry, ironing and fabric care
Care of antiques and delicate items
Provisioning for the household
Running local errands
Interior and exterior seasonal changes
Gardener/Handyperson
Must be genuine team player, happy to do whatever is required
Requires good basic DIY skills
Gardening for large garden
Assisting with moving furniture, bringing in firewood, clearing gutters and leaves, pressure washing courtyards/patios, taking bins out and a multitude of tasks as required
Ensuring security of the property and monitoring of the security system
Taking the dog for walks, feeding the dog and ensuring she is well cared for and pet sitting when family travel
Running errands
Chauffeuring duties, as and when required
Care of the family vehicles including cleaning and servicing schedules
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidates will be an experiencedcouple who are responsible and able to look after the property and are also able to work as part of a team. They need to be proactive and able to manage their own time efficiently.
The family are looking for a couple who are helpful, organised, have a good work ethic, and with good communication skills. Essential that both are confident drivers. Non-smokers. No petsbut must love dogs.
Accommodation:
Charming 2 bedroomed cottage, separate from the main house, with own garden provided.
Salary commensurate to experience- circa £60,000 Gross per annum. First class checkable references and Enhanced DBS required. (CC2689)
