- Description
- EXPERIENCED DOMESTIC COUPLE
CHEF/MAINTENACE PERSON & EXPERIENCED HOUSEKEEPER
Location – Rural Surrey between Guildford and Dorking.
Essential Requirements – Previous experience in a similar role essential. Strictly Non Smokers. Both to drive.
Pro active, flexible Chef passionate about fresh garden produce. Experienced with Vegetarian cookery, using organic ingredients. Excellent Housekeeping skills with attention to detail. Team players with a “can do” attitude.
A fantastic opportunity for a flexible hands-on Chef/Handyperson and Housekeeper Couple for a large country estate in Surrey. Joining a small team (Private PA, Handyman, Part time cleaner & Gardener). The couple will be responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of a 7-bedroom country property, ensuring exacting standards are maintained at all times, as well as preparing, and serving delicious and balanced meals (mainly vegetarian) for the family of 6 (four children at boarding school) and occasional dinner parties.
This role is 5 days per week (including weekends) with 2 days off together during the week.
Hours vary depending on the family’s needs, but they are very respectful and treat their staff very well.
To cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner the Chef usually works from 09:30-13:30 and then again from 15:00-20:00. Hours are flexible for the Housekeeper but generally the same as the chef.
During quieter periods or when the situation requires, the Chef will assist the Maintenance person or Gardener with general maintenance tasks on the estate, as well as being willing to assist with duties such as taking receipt of deliveries, laying fireplaces and other ad-hoc tasks. A kitchen garden is planned, so ideally the chef will help to develop this project and liaise with the gardener to ensure a tasty and productive garden.
Additional and more detailed job description is available once registered with the agency.
