House management Couple
Housekeeper -driver- grounds maintenance -handyperson- security
Monday to Friday – 45 hrs per week.
Essential Requirements – Previous experience working in a domestic environment. Clean driving licence. Flexible. Strictly Non smoker.
Main residence of mature single principal on the West Coast of Jersey. An immaculate property overlooking the sea, in beautiful well-tended gardens.
The position requires a flexible couple who can demonstrate self-sufficiency and autonomy, taking care of the overall running of the property.
The housekeeper will have a great eye for detail, have previous experience with Antiques, silver polishing and care of fine fabrics. Be able to provision and manage the household and undertake the day-to-day housekeeping duties ie cleaning, washing and ironing, hand washing of delicate items, wardrobe management, organising dry cleaning etc.
There is no actual cooking requirement with this position, but you may be asked to assist the principal with food preparation occasionally. Any entertaining will be for her family and friends and on a casual basis.
Between you, you will also manage external contractors, deal with suppliers, deal with household expenses and ideally have basic computer skills.
Partner to care for the cars and undertake some driving duties, general errands, airport runs and occasional evening driving.
You will tend the terraces, patio and undertake any maintenance duties around the property. You will manage the heating system and deal with any indoor maintenance as required.
There are large areas of lawns, flower beds, trees all beautifully maintained. General maintenance of the gardens, mowing, edging, pruning etc will be required but any horticulture knowledge welcomed. Security of the property will also be part of this role, especially when the principal travels.
Salary Negotiable depending on experience. Lovely one bedroom, self-contained apartment with sea views and terrace. 2 days off per week usually weekends. Sorry no dependent children but a small well-behaved pet will be considered. ASAP Start ( CC3911)
