EXPERIENCED HOUSEKEEPER -LIGHT COOK
Essential Requirements – Flexibility to work longer hours during the shoot season. Self-sufficient, pro-active housekeeper with great attention to detail and experience of fine fabrics and furniture. Ability to prepare light family style dishes, arrange flowers and supervise daily cleaning staff. Ideally have previous experience of working on a Shooting Estate. Good communication skills. Fluent English & Driver essential.
Large part residence, traditional country house and shooting estate in a rural location in Staffordshire, requires an energetic flexible housekeeper to join the small team. The main house is used by family members intermittently during the year, the shoot lodges during the shoot season are occupied by guests, usually Friday to Sunday.
Duties are cleaning to a high standard with great attention to detail, laundry, ironing, making beds and tidying bathrooms with evening turn down service when the principals are in residence.
Ideally you will have some previous table service experience as you will be required to assist with preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner service during the shoot season. A chef is employed during the shoot season but helpful out of season if you can prepare simple family style dishes on occasion when needed.
Local cleaners are employed to service the lodges who you will supervise and work alongside. An estate manager and outdoor team are also employed.
During the shoot season you will be required to work longer hours and weekends, but out of season primarily Monday to Friday. You must be flexible and be able to work as part of a team.
Due to the location, you will need to drive and have your own car.
This is a long-term position and is open to local candidates on a live out basis too.
Salary in the region of £45,000 Gross depending on experience, plus accommodation. Flexibility is key. ASAP Start. Strictly Non Smoker ( CC4308)
