RESIDENTIAL HOUSEKEEPER
10am to 5pm Monday to Friday ( 30 hrs per week)
Essential Requirements – Proactive, flexible private household housekeeper with hands on house management experience. Good communication skills. Driver with own car. Dog lover. Team player with attention to detail.
An experienced, country loving, self-sufficient housekeeper is required for super long term client in a beautiful location in East Sussex. The current housekeeper of 6 yrs returns to her family routes in the North of England. You should be self-sufficient, proactive and be able to plan your own day and see when a job needs doing.
A part time cleaner ( 3 days per week) is employed, but you must be totally hands on with day-to-day housekeeping, which will include cleaning daily, washing and ironing of household linens, running errands. Basic cooking skills would be welcomed but not essential.
There are various additional buildings on the estate, one of which is used as a retreat and quiet place for visiting self-sufficient guests. You will be responsible for the organisation and management of the property, ensuring that it is clean, flowers in situ and linens changed prior to the guest arriving, changing linens and cleaning after departure.
You will be required to liaise with external contractors, learn the intricacies of the boilers, re setting of timers etc. generally being aware of how the household systems work.
Essential that you have excellent communication skills and capable to work closely with the owner running the property and assisting her with any entertaining requirements.
There are 2 dogs so a willingness to assist with occasional dog walking will be required. Outdoor team of staff are also employed.
Salary between £33-35,000 Gross depending on experience, beautiful 3-bedroom modern house, (currently unfurnished but can be furnished) with it's own garden is provided off site in the village 5 minutes’ drive from the main house. Partner to follow own occupation very welcome and small well-behaved pet will be considered. 2 days off each week. Driving licence and own car essential. (CC4320)
