Experienced Domestic Couple
Housekeeper- Laundress –Asst Gardener, handy-person, driver
A Hampshire Estate requires an experienced domestic couple to work in association with the family within this large, historic country home, set in formal and informal gardens which extend to approximately 4 acres. The position includes all aspects of housekeeping, laundry, and care of this gorgeous 6-bedroom home. Applicants must have a fine eye for detail and knowledge in the care of fine furnishing fabrics and delicate clothing. There is another housekeeper who has worked for this family for the past 15 years.
The individual must have a keen eye for detail to care for a beautiful interior, which will include thorough basic household duties and laundry. The ability to undertake some front of house and food and beverage service would be a huge plus. Chef employed. A flexible, proactive approach and willingness to embrace and adapt to a variety of tasks is required as well as a self-motivating and positive outlook.
Partner will be required to work alongside the Estate Manager and gardener, assisting with general garden maintenance and indoor and outdoor maintenance. Good DIY skills and use of chain saw, ride on mower are required. You may occasionally be asked to assist with some heavy high-level cleaning and assist the housekeepers with any heavy lifting. You will care for the cars, washing and polishing, ensuring they are fuelled etc. There will be some driving for the principals which will include station pick-ups, airport runs and shopping.
The property is situated in over 150 acres of land - and although situated fairly close to towns with good transport links - a passion for rural life is essential. Beautiful private onsite and newly refurbished 2 bed accommodation can be provided.
SALARY circa £60,000 Gross depending on experience but longevity in previous positions is essential, you will be joining an existing team of staff who have worked with the family for many years. Driver and Non-Smoker essential. Please note that during the Pandemic the family are in residence full time. Tagalog speakers very welcome. (CC3594B)
