EXPERIENCED SENIOR HOUSEKEEPER
Essential Requirements – Flexibility to work longer hours during the shoot season. Self-sufficient, pro-active housekeeper with great attention to detail and experience of fine fabrics and furniture. Ability to arrange flowers and supervise daily cleaning staff. Previous large private house experience essential and Ideally previous experience of working on a Shooting Estate. Good communication skills. Fluent English & Driver essential.
Large part residence, traditional country house and shooting estate in a rural and very beautiful location in Staffordshire, requires an energetic flexible housekeeper to join the small team. Part of the main house is used by family members occasionally, the shoot lodges during the shoot season are occupied by guests, usually Friday to Sunday.
Duties are cleaning to a high standard with great attention to detail, laundry, ironing, making beds and tidying bathrooms with evening turn down service when the guests are in residence.
Local cleaners are employed to service the lodges who you will supervise and work alongside. Chef and Butlers are in attendance during the season and an estate manager and outdoor team are also employed.
During the shoot season you will be required to work longer hours and weekends, but out of season primarily Monday to Friday. You must be flexible and be able to work as part of a team.
Due to the location, you will need to drive and have your own car, although a pool car is available for work related use.
This is a long-term position and is open to local candidates on a live out basis too.
Salary in the region of £40,000 Gross depending on experience, plus self contained accommodation. Partner and pet welcome. Flexibility is key. ASAP Start. (CC4375)
