Coastal and Rural Location 25 mins from Hull

Domestic Couple -Exp Gardener, Handyperson, Driver, Housekeeper.

40 hrs inclusive per week – flexible to undertake weekend and evening duties as required

Essential Requirements – Previous experience working in a private family home. Child and dog friendly. Both must drive and hold clean UK Licences. Discreet, trustworthy, reliable couple with a positive cheerful attitude and strong work ethic. DBS Check essential. Fluent English.

Family estate in a rural, quiet location close to the coast of East Yorkshire, but only 25 mins drive to major city and towns. Both principals have demanding professional working lives and require a pro-active forward-thinking couple to care for the main house, grounds and gardens, assist with child and dog care as needed and generally make their lives easier.

The Housekeeper will manage the complete running of the home, ensuring that the residence is kept in tip top order.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Daily cleaning and routine deep cleaning of all rooms on a schedule
• Daily Laundry, washing, ironing to a high standard and wardrobe management
• Changing beds, cleaning silver, care of all household appliances.
• Occasional Food Preparation, food shopping and provisioning. Occasional assistance with dinner party.
• Maintenance and stock control of household products
• School run for one child as and when required.
• Liaison with external contractors, arrange repairs, accepting deliveries and post.
• Care of one dog (and the chickens) when the family are on holiday.

The Gardener/handyperson will primarily manage the estate, to include gardening and general maintenance. There will also be occasional driving duties for the family as requested which will include some evening driving if the principals are attending functions.

Duties will include but not limited to:

• Care and management of ponds, lake and small boat house
• Seasonal Planting and maintenance of vegetable garden, herb garden and fruit cages
• Mowing, strimming, pruning, trimming hedges and weeding beds and borders.
• Maintenance of indoor swimming pool.
• Maintenance of the house’s biomass boiler system
• Maintenance and general repairs of any external requirements as needed.
• Washing of cars, refuelling and occasional driving for the principals.

This vacancy is a 40hr working week, which will include occasional evening and weekend working as part of the 40 hrs. Flexibility is key.

Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience. Excellent 4-bedroom separate cottage with own secure garden and driveway. The cottage is unfurnished, recently refurbished, with carpets and white goods installed. ASAP Start, excellent references and DBS Checks required. Dog and older child considered. (CC4418)
